Humility- A Vital Tool in Recovery
Waking up each day thanking God for everything I have today, and each night thanking God for everything I have keeps me in a good balance between humility and motivation. I know the world would go on just fine without me, but while I’m here I’m going to do what I can to give back, help people, and try to be the best version of myself that I can be.

Practicing Humility
Humility to me is the loss of one’s pride. I often find humility in thinking of others before myself. Addiction is a selfish disease. It took a lot of humility for me to accept defeat, put my ego aside, and ask for help.

Grow Where You Are Planted
My disease has taught me that even weeds grow like flowers, just like how a wolf in sheep’s clothing is still a wolf. I have painfully learned that when I don’t humbly surrender to my addiction and admit I am completely powerless, I will lose.
