The Illusion Of Control

The word control has always been interesting to me because when a person hears or thinks they have control, it gives them this false sense of power. But I believe control over anything, but ourselves and the choices we make, is really just a complete illusion. We want to think that we are in control of everything because it brings us a sense of safety and comfort, but at the end of the day, God’s will become reality whether we like it or not. Even though it is difficult for me to do, I have found peace of mind in giving up control and knowing that plans have already been laid out for me, even if I don’t fully understand them. I can do my best to try and control my reactions to others but outside of that, I am trying to give up my control because that illusion has gotten me nowhere.
