Gratitude Helps Me Stay In The Moment
Being grateful helps me to stay in the moment and take things one day at a time. Remaining grateful helps me to stay out of a depressive mindset.
Looking Back at the Destruction I Caused
During that time, I made a lot of terrible choices, hurt a lot of people, burned bridges and destroyed relationships without so much of a second thought. I knew what I was doing and that I was causing destruction, but I did it anyways. My conscience would tell me what I was doing was wrong, but my addiction would force me through those thoughts, almost like it was for survival.
An Attitude of Gratitude
I’m grateful for all the mistakes I have made because it has built in me a foundation of gratitude that I made It through these terrifying times of my life. If I forget where I have come from and start living in pride and ego, I can easily slip back into self-will and relapse.
