Spirituality has been a hard thing for me throughout my life. My mom has always been extremely spiritual and has tried her best to teach me her ways. I could become more spiritual in my life, but for some reason I have never really felt a spiritual connection with anything. Sometimes when I hear the word spirituality, especially in meetings, I get scared. It frightens me because they say that without a spiritual connection, it is impossible to stay sober; that a spiritual connection with a higher power is the most important thing in recovery. Lately I have been asking Salina and the guys in the house to help me connect with my higher power through developing a sense of spirituality. Hopefully, as I continue to take suggestions and remain open minded, my spiritually will grow.
