Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.  Having integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is watching, being able to hold onto yourself regardless of the circumstance. In my addiction I had no concept of what it meant to have integrity, any sort of morals or values slowly began to fade away, and my standards got lower and lower.  I did things I never could have imagined doing and felt completely lost.  I have been clean and sober for 14-months and feel that I have been able to reestablish my morals and principles and am learning to be a man of integrity, who is respectful, and values honesty. Integrity also consists of keeping your commitments, being responsible and accountable, as well as being truthful which are all principles I need to work toward.
