Spreading Positivity in Drug Rehab
Positivity and negativity, opposites, but both have an impact on those around us. “Misery loves company”, is an easily applicable saying that can be applied to spreading negativity. When you are in that negative state of mind you want those around you to validate and justify how you are feeling. Even if you aren’t engaging with others in a negative way, being withdrawn and visibly upset or frustrated has the same impact on those around you and makes it harder for them to remain positive when you can feel the negative energy within the house. For myself, when I am in a positive state of mind I am usually not brought down easily or affected by others. But for some reason it is harder for me to physically spread positivity. I know positive energy can rub off on others and in that sense I think I am able to influence others in a positive way, but when someone is clearly in a bad place mentally, I struggle to go and address that with them and try to pull them out of that state of mind. Remaining positive through all my circumstances and not letting my emotions negatively impact me is what I am striving to make progress towards.
